USSSA Recreation State Championship

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  2 POOL PLAY GAMES SEEDED INTO SINGLE ELIMINATION BRACKET

THERE WILL BE TOURNAMENT SHIRTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON SITE AT THE TOURNAMENT. If you are interested in purchasing a tournament shirt we encourage you to do so early as there is limited supply. $25 PER SHIRT

1. ALL LEXINGTON COUNTY REC LEAGUE RULES WILL APPLY FOR THIS TOURNAMENT (COPY OF RULES ARE ATTACHED – WITH a FEW EXCEPTIONS – PLEASE READ BELOW! ALL OTHER RULES WILL REVERT TO THE USSSA RULEBOOK

2. A representative of each team must check-in on the 2nd Floor in the umpire’s lounge once they arrive at the field.

3. No new inning after 1 hour 10 min.;(Note: IF TIME EXPIRES and A TEAM DOES NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN DUE TO THE 5 RUN PER INNING THE GAME WILL END. THIS WILL BE DONE IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP THE TOURNAMENT ON TIME)

4. Each team must be warmed-up and ready to play 30 minutes prior to game time. If your team is not present it will be considered a FORFEIT (10MIN GRACE PERIOD FOR THE FIRST GAME SAT MORNING ONLY)!

5. Each team MUST play with their league roster. (Exception: Players added with Board approval for teams that did not have enough)

6. Teams will flip a coin for home team at the beginning of each POOL game. Highest seed will be the automatic home team in BRACKET. 

7. Line-up cards will be required at the beginning of each new game with a copy given to the opposing team as well as the umpire. Line-up cards will be available for pick up at check-in.

8. Teams have the option to ROSTER bat all players in the line-up or they may bat just their defensive team; however, every player must play a minimum of 2 innings on defense (AS DESCRIBED IN THE LCRAC RULES) or your team is subject to forfeiture.

9. RUN RULES FOR THIS TOURNAMENT WILL BE BY THE USSSA RULE BOOK 12 RUNS AFTER 3 INNINGS OR 2 1/2 IF THE HOME TEAM IS AHEAD. 10 RUNS AFTER 4 COMPLETED INNINGS OR 3 1/2 INNINGS IF THE HOME TEAM IS AHEAD, 8 RUNS AFTER 5 COMPLETED  5 COMPLETED INNINGS OR 4 1/2 IF THE HOME TEAM IS AHEAD.

10. IN 10 & UNDER YOU MAY PLAY 4 OUTFIELDS, THERE IS NO INFIELD FLY RULE, STEALING HOME WILL BE PERMITTED AND THERE IS NO RUNNING ON A DROP 3RD STRIKE. PITCHING MACHIN RULES WILL APPLY

 11. THERE WILL BE A GATE FEE - $10 FOR ADULTS; $8 FOR YOUTH (12 & UNDER), 6 & UNDER IS FREE -  CASH ONLY 

All teams that are currently participating in their area's recreation leagues are invited to attend the USSSA Rec State Tournament. All league rosters must be submitted to the tournament director in advance of the tournament so we may verify that all rosters are accurate and fall within the guidelines of being a rec team. Deadline to submit rosters will be Monday, April 22, 2024. The tournament will conclude on Saturday (Friday night play if needed - NO SUNDAY PLAY) . All players will receive a Participation Certificate and medal. Team and individual awards will be provided to the top finishing teams in each age division. Pre-order T-Shirt forms will be available in advance of the tournament via email (Deadline for T-Shirt forms will be Monday, April 22nd).
